Job Description:

  • Ensure that all assigned projects and product maintenance are delivered on-time, within scope, quality and budget;
  • Perform all duties expected of a project manager role, including: initiating, planning, managing execution, monitoring and closing projects;
  • Implement ICT quality processes and methodologies within all assigned projects;
  • Document project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop detailed project plans and release plans to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Perform the role of IT product manager, including planning and managing the lifecycle of an IT solution as defined
  • When required, take the role of the business analyst, e.g. analyse and document user needs, specify requirements for approval, perform quality assurance or train users as required;
  • If required, fulfil the role as focal point for an IT portfolio;

Your Qualifications: 

  • University degree with minimum 6 years of experience in IT OR non university degree with minimum 12 years of experience in IT;
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management of computer software construction. Practical experience with software development methodologies and the system development life-cycle is in-dispensable;
  • Suitable certificates, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2, are an advantage
  • Experience in managing software development projects/ maintenance/ package customization, including multiple phases of the software life cycle;
  • Knowledge of industry standards project management methodologies and best practices, demonstrated by practical experience in IT projects (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2, PM2, agile project management);
  • Experience in coordinating teams;
  • Experience in working with external providers of software development and/or maintenance;
  • Experience with business analysis
  • Experience using project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Server)
  • Experience delivering presentations
  • Leadership experience and skills
  • Experience in the business context of public health or related fields
